Maybe God is using your difficult situation to put you on a new path?
Have you ever felt that, no matter which way you turn, you hit a brick wall? That no matter what decision you make, nothing seems to work out the way you want it to? You’re not alone — in fact, this is a common experience for many of us. But have you considered that God might be using your difficult situation to set you on a completely new path — one that aligns with His purpose and plan for your life?
If this resonates then read on…
Let’s explore how God might be using adversity in your life to help get you back on track. While it can certainly feel like the universe is throwing everything but the kitchen sink at us, take comfort in knowing that God is at work, guiding us each step of the way. In our times of difficulty, it can be difficult to remember this — but God has promised never to leave us or forsake us.
Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. (Deuteronomy 31:6)
The truth is that while you may not understand why certain events are taking place in your life, God does. He has a plan and purpose for each of us — a divine plan that we may not be able to comprehend with our limited understanding. When it feels like you’ve hit a brick wall in your life, it could be an opportunity for God to get your attention and redirect your steps.
It’s important to remember that God often uses our difficult seasons as a way to grow and refine us. He can take the broken pieces of our lives and use them to reshape us, moulding and shaping us into vessels fit for His purpose. In other words, it’s possible that your brick wall is actually a way for God to expand your horizons and show you the path towards His very best plans for you.
So, no matter where you are in your journey, be encouraged and know that God has a plan and purpose for you. He will use every experience — even the hard ones — to bring about His ultimate will in your life.
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11)
